Liverpool’s electro-poppers and Heavenly-signees Stealing Sheep have been keeping a relatively low profile since their criminally underrated 2015 album Not Real. Coming back with a bang, the left field trio have shared ‘Joking Me’, a bouncy new electro-pop bop with an incredible video to match. Based around a buoyant bass line and a dancey, disco drum beat, the threesome’s intertwining vocals are both infectious and disorientating, making for their catchiest cut to date. Filled to the brim with early-internet nostalgia, the accompanying Pastel Castle (Emily Garner) creation is a perfectly-timed lyric video that celebrates the now rudimentary but still pretty fun nature of the Microsoft Paint days.
